an effort to alleviate the burden and provide a more comfortable life specifically for the asnaf group in the country, the Islamic Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam and the Department of Zakat, Waqf and Baitulmal Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs have handed over relief houses to Five Asnaf Recipients. The House Completion Certificate and House Plaque Presentation Ceremony took place 16th February afternoon at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The cost to build the five houses amounting over $451,960 BND was from the Zakat Fund of the Islamic Religious Council.

The certificate presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister Of Religious Affairs as Chairman of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council. The Minister of Religious Affairs also inspected a recipient's house located in Kampung Mulaut.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs' delegation led by the Deputy Minister Of Religious AffAIRS simultaneously visited other recipient homes in Kampung Tanah Jambu, Kampung Jaya Setia, Kampung Serasa and Kampung Sungai Hanching. Such an initiative aims to provide more comfortable and safe places to live, and is a symbol of the government's continued support in improving the quality of life.
